Key Responsibilities
The Senior Operations Manager will oversee daily activities, supervise operations employees, and coordinate all department processes, procedures, and protocols with an eye toward continual improvement. This is a leadership opportunity and will require a record of operational acumen and client service brilliance who excels at creating an environment of operational excellence. As a leader, you will amplify our firm’s values and inclusive culture, and model desired behaviors for others. You will serve as the liaison between the operations team and firm management. Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Hire and train new operations employees as well as supervise and mentor them in weekly meetings, ongoing development discussions, and annual employee evaluations.
- Have overall responsibility for ensuring paperwork is in good order and reducing errors.
- Foster firm-wide adoption of digital capabilities.
- Analyze, monitor, and optimize firm operational workflows, processes, and procedures.
- Evaluate the firm’s operational needs and challenges, ensuring alignment to firm goals and objectives.
- Back-office operations accountabilities include:
- Building collaborative partnerships with our client account managers to deliver top-notch client service.
- Monitoring daily operational processes including trades, CRM management, regulatory compliance adherence, and problem resolution.
- Supervising the compilation and maintenance of back-office records to mitigate fraud risk and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Billing monthly client fees.
- Relationship management accountabilities include partnering with our custodian to improve and streamline transactions and finding appropriate and timely solutions to issues that arise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university is required.
- Five years of combined experience in operations and client service, with growing responsibility in the financial services industry.
- Experience within RIA operations, including new account opening, account transfers, billing, and cashiering functions.
- Three years of supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to move into a leadership role.
- Preferable experience with Schwab, Orion, and Salesforce.
